Salvation Is Of The Lord

Jonah 2:9: But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. SALVATION IS OF THE LORD.

2 Peter 1:3 According as HIS DIVINE POWER HATH GIVEN UNTO US ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

The cause of salvation and every element of salvation is God and God alone. Believing that mortal men could cause even one element of salvation is the height of arrogance and pride.

Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Salvation is never the gift of mortal men.

Ephesians 1:4: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Salvation originated with God and God alone before he created earth or men on it and when we only existed in His mind.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are HIS WORKMANSHIP, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Salvation is not the work of men. It is the work of God. We must become HIS WORKMANSHIP ALONE in order to be saved.

John 1:13: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

2 Peter 3:9: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

It is by his will that we become saved. It is not of the will of mortal men. To be continued.
